My family and I walk to support Children's hospital because they do so much for women/children and the community. When my children were younger,  one had croup and one had emergency Hernia surgery. The staff were wonderful and eased this worried mother's fear numerous times. They went step by step what they were going to do and even repeated it knowing I may have been too worried to pay attention the first time. It is wonderful to know this hospital and staff are here. I heard about this walk through a friend/co-worker last year. My husband, children and I participated. We had a great time and said if they do it again, so were we!
My dream when my children are older and/or I retire (or win the lottery!) is to become a baby cuddler for a hospital.
